Refunds and exchanges
You can exchange your tickets for another performance up to 48 hours before the show you have booked if you are no longer able to attend the performance or film and your booking is not greater than ten tickets for a fee of £1 per ticket. Unless an event is cancelled, all tickets are non-refundable.
For groups over ten people, tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable.
Access and facilities
Bishop Auckland Town Hall is fully accessible.
There are adapted toilets and lifts to all floors. Wheelchair spaces are available and patrons are asked to telephone to reserve these in advance (carers are seated free of charge). The Town Hall’s Eden Theatre employs a system of raked seating. We will make every attempt to allocate seats in specific areas in order to accommodate patrons with special needs.
Please advise when purchasing tickets. An induction loop system is available for those with hearing difficulties. Patrons with hearing aids should set the control to ‘T’.

From Consett
Take the A68 to Toft Hill, then take the B6282 signed to Bishop Auckland. Go through Etherley Grange and Etherley Moor and across a mini roundabout. At the Bishop Auckland sign just past the Mason’s Arms, bear left on the B6284 following the sign to the Town Centre. At the end of this road turn right and across a roundabout. Bear left at the next roundabout into North Bondgate.
From Durham
Take the A167 to Thinford Roundabout, then the A688 following the signs to Bishop Auckland. At the junction with the A689 take the fourth exit following the signs for the A689 to Crook. You will drive down a long hill and then up a short hill. Turn right at the top of this hill following the sign to the Market Place.
From Darlington
Take the A68 until the junction with the A688. Follow the signs to Bishop Auckland, and then at a roundabout take the left turn on the A689 to the Town Centre. Drive past Asda through a set of traffic lights, then straight ahead through the next traffic lights following the signs to the Town Centre and Market Place.
From the A1(M)
Take Junction 60 at Bradbury, signposted Teesside and Bishop Auckland. Take the A689 following the sign to Bishop Auckland. At the junction with the A688 take the second exit straight across following the signs for the A689 to Crook. Drive down a long hill and then up a short hill. Turn right at the top of this hill following the sign to the Market Place.
Visitors by public transport
Bishop Auckland is well served by buses. The bus station is behind the Newgate Centre and is only five minutes walk from the Town Hall. The railway station is served by Northern Rail, with connections from the mainline station at Darlington. Up-to-date timetables for all public transport are available from the council’s journey planner.
Parking
There are a number of short stay car parks in Bishop Auckland where you can park to a maximum of three hours. The closest to Bishop Auckland Town Hall are in Bondgate, and in the Newgate Centre. Parking is free after 6.00pm in public car parks.
